Ageless Active: Food - My Sangria Recipe

Today on the Gram, (Instagram) I share my favorite Sangria recipe. (Click the Instagram icon below to view the video.) I watched Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa make her Summer Rose Sangria on Instagram yesterday, (thanks to my friend Suzy from Italy.) Ina truly is a Contessa.

Below is my recipe which varies a bit from Ina’s but definitely has similarities.

Silver Is The New Blonde®️ Summer Sangria Recipe:
1 (750 ml) bottle rosé, red or white wine (the brands I use are not expensive)

  • 1/2 cup pomegranate or cranberry juice

  • 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (4 lemons)

  • 2 cup Sprite Zero or Fresca (I double if adding more alcohol, see below)

  • 1/2 cup Grand Marnier (sometimes I double this)

  • 1/4/ cup Cognac or brandy (sometimes I double this)

  • 2 peaches pureed with 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries

  • 8 large fresh strawberries, hulled and quartered

  • 1 red plum, pitted and sliced ¼ inch thick

  • 10 red seedless grapes halved

Combine the rosé, all juices, Sprite Zero, Grand Marnier, Brandy, peach purée in a large glass pitcher. Stir in the raspberries, strawberries, grapes, and plums, cover, and refrigerate for at least an hour but my preference is overnight for the best taste.

Serve and enjoy with friends. And of course, have fun but drink responsibly.
