Sincerely Silver: Silver & Glowing
This post is sponsored by Hair Biology, but all opinions expressed are my own.
If you have silver or gray hair you know that it comes with advantages and a few disadvantages. Women of all ages are making the change and embracing their silver and/or gray hairs. How cool is that for women everywhere, that we can wear our hair whatever color we want. In my humble opinion, I feel that the advantages of silver hair far outweigh the disadvantages and always try to focus on the positives. And for those of us over 50, we know that aging is a superpower, and we can all do it our way!
Advantages:
- NO MORE DYE
- ELIMINATING LONG COLORING TREATMENTS AND EXPENSIVE SALON VISITS
- FEELING MORE AUTHENTIC
- IT’S UNIQUE
- SYMBOLISES MATURITY AND WISDOM
- HEALTHIER HAIR AND SKIN
- MORE DIMENSION IN HAIR TEXTURE
Disadvantages:
- Dryness
- Thinning
- Frizz and flyaways
- Yellowing or brassiness
I have to say that I have also experienced the disadvantages including yellow tones. And what I have realized is that I needed to change my hair products. As you may be aware from a previous post (hyperlink), I have been using Hair Biology’s Silver & Glowing Collection (https://bit.ly/HairBiology-Jan) which is specifically formulated for Silver/Gray hair, for around 3 years. The purple shampoo and conditioner do a great job of cleansing my silver hair, removing dulling residue, without weighing my hair down. People always comment on my “silver” strands that shine through, without brassiness. And because the collection is infused with Biotin, my hair is strong, healthy, and growing. I love that it is free of parabens. And the Silver & Glowing, Silver Shine Serum with Argan Oil is amazing. I use it on my wet hair and a touch more when styling. It truly helps me take control of my flyways and gives “my silvers” the shine and control I want. I am so happy to announce that the Silver& Glowing collection is now available at my favorite grocery store, Harris Teeter, which makes it a one stop shop for me!
As always, thanks for stopping by and be on the lookout for my favorite new Spring top, next Tuesday!
