Style Ideas: A Statement Top
Happy Thursday, ladies. I am jumping right in today, becuase I fell in love with this statement piece and could not wait to share it with you.
I found this versatile top, called the Sojourn Top, at Athleta recently and had to have it. I love the accordion pleats down the back, the collar (that can be worn up or down) and that the back is cut lower than the front. It’s lightweight, breathable and has UPF protection of 50+ and is a great layering piece or can be worn alone. Did I also mention that it is water repellent and is machine wash and dry?
I bought white as I wanted something bright for spring but it also available in black. Hoping I can find the black on sale later this season. Edited: This top runs large. I am wearing a medium, and I don’t like anything tight in the bust-line.
Today, I am wearing this running errands and out to lunch with jeans, but I loved wearing it on the putting range recently.
The pants are the Brooklyn Ankle pants, which are super comfy and have 6000 five star reviews on Athleta. I feel that the style is similar to a cigarette style pant, which is great for work, or casual. I love the versatility and the fact that the material is breathable, stretchy and also machine wash and dry. Edited: I would say these pants run a wee bit large. I am wearing a size 10.
My silver sneakers are by Superga and as always, am wearing my favorite lipstick, Chili by Mac.
