Opera Looks
I hope you had a wonderful week and are enjoying your Saturday. We are celebrating a grand-daughters third birthday today and looking forward to it. I love celebrating birthdays!!
I work with Scoop Charlotte, an online woman’s magazine for Charlotte and the surrounding area. I guess you might say I am the eldest of my influencer girlfriends in the group so always bring a fresh perspective that many of the readers find relatable. The woman that owns it has become a friend so I always am ready to work with her. She asked who would be interested in attending and styling for the Opera, Le Boheme and I raised my hand. I truly was not sure what to wear and did my research. It was not opening night.
I put together two looks. which I feel both worked well. Photo’s are compliments of Scoop and Christine Hussey Photography.
The first with the help of Paul Simon Woman included a beautiful jacket by one of my favorite Italian designer Chiara Boni. I love the Flame Red color which is huge for the spring. I paired it with my own black dress pants by, Stella McCartney (with a black lace down the side), black pumps, a beautiful white blouse (Paul Simon Woman), and a lizard skin clutch; Nordstrom. I am wearing Julie Voss jewelry in gold, also from Paul Simon Woman. I loved the look, which turned out perfect for the night because it was a mix between dressy and casual.
My second look is more basic (black and white) with black leather, (maybe pleather) skirt from H&M, a white Zara top, black pumps, pearls and a fun clutch which I found on sale at Nordstrom.
I shared earlier this week on Instagram that I have never been to the opera and really enjoyed the experience. It was beautiful although I was thankful for the teleprompter/closed captioned information.
I know which look I like best. Which is your pick? Let me know in the comments below. I have linked everything or similar, below.
Enjoy the weekend and we’ll chat again next week! Until then…. thank you for reading.
