How to Care for Your Hair

There was a time when I use to watch my Grandma Marnie, wash her silver hair and I’d think to myself…what the heck! Little did I know that this wise woman was way ahead of her time. Marnie had the prettiest thick, silver hair, which I luckily inherited. Thank you, Grandma, I am now doing the same thing. I don’t remember the brand she used but I definitely know the brand I have found success with and want to share with you. And they don’t just cater to the silver hair trusses, there is something for everyone; silvers, brunettes, blondes and truly anyone that wants their hair to look the best. If your silver or blonde you can get darker yellow streaks from heat and if you are brunette you can turn orange for the same reasons.

My process is pretty simple. I wash and condition my hair every 5 days. I use Fanola Free No Yellow Vegan Shampoo and Mask (conditioner) every other wash. The vegan formula is stronger than the regular No Yellow shampoo and conditioner. In between, I use the Fanola Nutri Care Restructuring Shampoo and Nutri Care Conditioner. This allows for no purple build-up and the Nutri Care products make my hair shiny and soft. If you are a blonde, you may cycle your hair care this way but possibly use the No Yellow only once a month. As a brunette, you can always try the No Orange shampoo and conditioner and maybe alternate with a little No Yellow. I think everyone is different and you have to find what works best for you.
