Bell Sleeves and the River
Hi Friends,
Mr Silver and I had a wonderful trip to Texas to visit the grands. It was a blast and those babies are getting so big... too fast! The weather was great, food was fantastic and had a blast shopping too! My daughter and I always visit the same boutiques. But this visit, we took in some shops in the Pearl District (including Hotel Emma) as well as a few shops at La Cantera in San Antonio.
In the small town where she lives, there is a boutique called River Rose. The owner does a great job buying fun, affordable clothes. I always find gifts for both my girls (daugher and DIL) at the boutique and found myself this cute bell sleeve dress this visit and in olive green. Thankfully, my height did not make this too short. Since I travel light (OK, everyone that knows me well... knows that is a fib... I travel heavy) my daughter lent me some items for this post. OK...not just a couple but 3 items! HA! It was so much fun styling this simple dress. First, she lent me her vintage turquoise squash blossom, her very well-loved Charlie 1 Horse Lucchese boots, and a brand new numbered, Jennifer Haley bag (you have to check out her work.) I paired this all with my own accessories as well as these Tory Burch Cat Eye Sunglasses.
This outfit was fun and a bit different than my typical East Coast style but with my daughters help, I loved the look.
These photo's were taken over the Gaudalupe River near New Braunfels, TX. If you have not visited the area, I highly suggest it. North of San Antonio, New Braunfels offers so much to do, including tubing on either the Comal or the Guadalupe River. However, I feel it offers so much more, including two of my 3 precious grandsons!! If you get the chance, visit this quaint little town.
As always, thank you for reading,
XO
